Kyrgios, Djokovic to clash in Tiebreak Tens event

The Australian summer is becoming the perfect occasion to play exhibitions with fast formats.

Kyrgios, Zverev, Nadal, and Dimitrov have already confirmed to play the FAST4 event in Sydney the 8th of January, and after a couple of days (the 10th), Kyrgios and Djokovic are confirmed to take part to the Tiebreak Tens competition.

What’s Tiebreak Tens?

It’s a simple format (a bracket) whose matches are played on a Tiebreak 10 basis (i.e. the first to win 10 points wins the match). Back in May, it was Dimitrov to have won this edition in Madrid, and the formula highly appreciated as it was giving to the local fans a “preview” of some of the best tennis players before the ATP1000. The winner will take the entire prize money that will be of $250,000.

It suits my style. KYRGIOS

During a recent interview, Nick explained why he as more than happy to participate in the event

“I can’t wait to get out on the court and not only play some exciting tennis, but also raise awareness for the NK Foundation which I’m incredibly proud of.

Tie Break Tens is a great format and really suits my game style. I’m looking forward to having some fun with it, and I reckon the crowds will really get into it. It will be the perfect chance for fans to see some high-quality tennis before the big one, the Australian Open starts.”

8 players are expected to play this event. We are waiting for the other 6 names.
