Zverev signs to play Halle till 2020

The ATP500 in Halle has managed to sign Roger Federer for the rest of his career 7  years ago and now they also “lock” Sascha Zverev for the next 3 years.

At just 20 years of age, the German superstar ended the season as world no.4 after reaching a no.3 career high. Sascha has reached the final in Halle in the last 2 years. In 2016 he lost to his compatriot Florian Mayer 6-2 5-7 6-3; this year Sascha was the runner-up once more after been brushed aside by his childhood idol Roger Federer (6-1 6-3). Zverev is excepted to go 1 step further in the next few years.

After signing the agreement, the German commented: “I am looking forward to coming back to Halle, one of my favorite tournaments on the whole tour.”

The organization will also try to involve Sascha in some other initiatives (e.g. Exhibitions).
