RETIREMENT. Federer reveals when he is going to retire

At 36 years of age, Roger Federer is having one of the finest years of his fantastic career. Ranked no.2, in 2017 the Swiss sensation has won 2 slams, 3 Master ATP1000, and 1 ATP500.

4 reasons why.

Even if Roger is ”cheating” his age, the Swiss can’t avoid the recurrent questions about his retirement. During a recent interview with the Gulf News, Roger explains why he is still on tour and when he is going to retire.

“I know it [retirement] is sooner or later,” he commented, “I know I’m not 22 anymore, but I don’t have a date. ‘If the body allows me to play, my family allows me to play, if the success is still there, if I’m happy to travel, I will continue.

But the four things have to work, if one of the four doesn’t work, it may be the time to stop. But for now, it’s ok.

For me, the family is my priority and then the rest.”
