Serena Williams has always stated that she wants to defend her Australian Open title in 2018. This year the American legend has won the major after being pregnant for a couple of weeks; Serena wants to stun again in 2018 by winning the same slams just a few months after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl.

To keep her promise alive, Serena has chosen to train when she was deep in her pregnancy, and she is quickly regaining her form after only 2 weeks from the delivery.

Serena posted a picture on snapchat celebrating the fact that she is already back in her pre-pregnancy jean shorts on Saturday.

I think that Pedro should keep his parenting advice more to himself. There is no reason that Serena Williams or any other woman who is mother to a newborn cannot find an hour or two in their day when there is great family support, and the drive to remain actively competitive. Would we ask this question of any male sports champion?? Would we ever dare to suggest that Andy Murray or Roger Federer focus on their newborns more for their "special moments"?? That would be considered rude and intrusive. Also, most "working" women not so fortunate as to have financial freedom return to full time work in a few weeks. I think Serena can be a great mom and a great champion without advice from others who will never be in her position. Ask any woman who would like to have her options.

Serena is a superwoman, but she might be better focussing also on her baby girl. This should be a special moment.
