Novak Djokovic confirms he will not be able to compete at the upcoming tournament in Miami.
Soon after losing to Kyrgios in Indian Wells, the world no.2 had to fly to Monaco consult a doctor about a problem with his elbow, and eventually, he decided not to compete in Florida.
Nole released the following statement
"I have some very disappointing news to share with you regarding the Miami Open tournament.
My doctor has strongly advised against playing because of my elbow injury, that I keep carrying on for months, got worse in the past week.
I will do everything in my power to recover and do all the necessary therapy to be able to return on court as soon as possible. Sadly, I won't be able to defend my title in Miami this week."
Murray has also retired for the same reason. This will help Roger Federer in chasing the world no.1 rank. Interesting season.
