It’s not fixed yet!

This is what Novak Djokovic said during a recent press conference in Melbourne when talking about his elbow.

The former world no.1 hasn’t played an official competition since he withdrew in the Wimbledon quarters last year against Berdych for a problem to his elbow. The Serbian sensation was meant to get back to competitions in Abu Dhabi, but eventually he had to withdraw from the Mubadala World Tennis Championships and then from the Qatar Open.

Ranked no.14, Djokovic is about to start his campaign at the Australian Open even if he is not 100% confident with his elbow.

Nole commented

“It hasn’t been 100 percent yet healed. But right now it’s at the level where I can compete, and every day is getting better.

I‘m hoping that it can be 100 percent at the start of the tournament. I don’t know how it’s going to behave. Even if it’s 100 percent healed, after six months of no competition, you never know how you’re going to react.

So let’s see. There’s not much more I can do. I’ve done really everything in my power, with a team of people around me, to enable me to be right here in front of you guys, and to compete in Australian Open.”

The first round

Nole will face Donald Young in the 1st round in Melbourne. The head to head is 2-0 for Djokovic.
