After her success in New York, the world no.5 hit the headlines all over the world to also become the darling of her beloved Canada.  According to Alexandra Hunnings Klein (communication and public affairs at Google Canada), Bianca and the former Raptors superstar Kawhi Leonard topped the trending list in the Google’s annual Year in Search.

According to Hunnings Klein, Bianca conquering the US Open and the Raptors winning the NBA “pushed us beyond having sports programs worth noting to having the sort of equivalent to Drake on a global scale, where there’s no introduction needed. (Canadians) are now seeing ourselves through a competitive lens, and the data demonstrates that.”

Bianca had a funny moment after conquering the US Open when she said that Drake was one of the few top fellow Canadians not to have sent her the due congratulations after the US Open. The rapper finally reached out.
