Del Potro Djokovic Shapovalov Kyrgios training

Novak Djokovic, Denis Shapovalov, Nick Kyrgios, and Juan Martin Del Potro are getting ready for the new season that will finally start in a couple of weeks’ time.

Novak Djokovic has a rather busy schedule as he decided to compete at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, the ATP Cup, in Adelaide and the Australian Open. Novak’s participation in Adelaide came as a huge surprise since the event will be played just before the Australian Open. Usually, top players prefer not to be involved in any competition before a slam, but this was not the case for Novak. The world no.2 is putting some serious work to prepare for the new year. Now in Monte Carlo, he showed a video where he was acting as a (sort of) hurdler. He looked pretty good at that.

Denis Shapovalov’s training

The Canadian had a rather good end of the season soon after he started to partner with Mikhail Youzhny. Denis reached the final in Bercy and he ended the year ranked no.15. His new coach has put a lot of emphasis on Shapovalov’s footwork and this is an area they are trying to really improve as per the following video.

Nick Kyrgios reinforcing his hip

The Australian is not well-known for his working-ethic and putting too much effort into strengthening his body. However, it seems that this time during the off-season, he got things seriously, and he posted this video while lifting 200kg with his hip. That’s a serious effort.

Juan Martin Del Potro and his knee injury

The Argentine has been struggling with injuries a lot in his career. He underwent surgery multiple times to fix his issues with both wrists, and he broke his kneecap twice. However, the former US Open champion refuses to fold and he is now getting ready for 2020 after yet another prolonged hiatus due to his knee injury that occurred back in June. Here the video of one of his recent training.
