As the tennis offseason gradually comes to an end, tennis players have already started preparing for next season. Among the players making haste to be ready for the 2020 ATP Tour outings are Serena Williams and Coco Gauff. The two are at Boca Raton alongside Nicholas David Lionel, Holger Vitus Nodskov, Marius Copil, and Chris Eubanks. All of them are under the leadership of Patrick Mouratoglou, who also is accompanied by a strong and able team that will oversee this squad in South Florida.

Taking to Instagram, Patrick Mouratoglou expressed how delighted he was to organize a pre-season team-building camp ahead of the Australian Open. He demystified the importance of the camp, all the parties involved, and why he had settled on Boca Resort as an ideal destination for this significant pre-season camp. Most importantly, he also highlighted the activities to be undertaken during the camp.

What are some of the activities that will be undertaken

This camp, organized by Serena Williams’ has appreciated diversity and inclusivity in a significant way. Apart from tennis players, fitness coach Shaun T, Bob Sinclair, and Mike Tyson are part of this team. Besides, there are several different activities lined up apart from tennis. Some of the events this group is set to take part in include triathlon, diving, karaoke, and basketball.

Gauff dares Eubanks to a Basketball encounter

Regardless of being a young teenager, Coco Gauffs knows well how to get into one’s nerves. While in Boca Raton, he has already challenged Eubanks into a basketball match. It seems that this is an encounter that Coco Gauff has been looking forward to for a while. Back in November, while on the Beyond the Baseline podcast, the 15-year-old questioned Eubank’s basketball skills.

“He claims he’s good at basketball. We’re going to see. He has the height, but I’m pretty sure he can’t dunk even though he’s 6’7”, “said Coco Gauff.

However, Eubanks, on his part, was cautious with the choice of his words while putting across a reply due to the love and respect he has for the teenager. In fact, he even referred to Coco Gauff as his younger sister. This is what he said in his defense, “Coco has no right, no, I can’t believe she would even come up and say something like that. For one, we’ve never been on the court together, and two, I know for a fact, she is terrible…”
