Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal is experiencing yet another great moment of his fantastic career after ending the current season as the world no.1. Even better, after conquering the US Open, the tennis legend is now only 1 slam shy from Roger Federer’s record of 20 slams. In the meantime, the King of Clay is getting ready to challenge the likes of Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Daniil Medvedev at the upcoming Mubadala world tennis Championship.

Rafa won this event in Abu Dhabi on 4 occasions.

Rafa’s training, schedule, and injuries

The Mallorcan is still training at his Academy with his usual intensity having in mind the idea to win the Australian Open and match Federer’s record.

The Spaniard will face a rather hectic schedule in the following weeks. In fact, after a short break, he resumed the training to play the Mubadala World Tennis Championship next week. Then, Rafa will head to Perth for the New Year’s Eve before starting the ATP Cup. Then it will be time for him to assault the Australian Open before flying to Cape Town where he will face Roger Federer in a record-making charity event.

Rafa needs to be careful not to put too much stress on his body as he is rather injury-prone. Nadal has been dealing with a knee issue for more than a decade and he had recent issues with an inflammation to his left hand.
