Amanda is getting ready for a strong 2020

Amanda Anisimova training

Amanda Anisimova had a rather adventurous 2019. The American sensation managed to reach a world no.21 career especially thanks to her fantastic and unexpected run at the Roland Garros where she reached the semifinal.

Unfortunately, things changed dramatically, and not for the good, during the American summer. In fact, the American teenager had to deal with a tricky back injury before being devasted by the sudden death of her beloved father (and coach) Konstantin Anisimov just before the US Open and her 18th birthday. Amanda was completely heartbroken to withdraw from the last slam of the year before playing in Wuhan and Beijing.

Currently ranked no.24, Amanda is already preparing her 2020 putting in some hard work to get ready for a great run at the Australian Open. Before that, Anisimova is scheduled to face her childhood idol Martia Sharapova in an exhibition match at the Mubadala Wolrd Tennis Championship by the end of December.

In the meantime, Amanda is rumored to have pocketed a huge deal with Nike.
